When I first saw this on your instagram I fell in love with it! It's just the perfect little clutch and I love the touch of suede on the bottom. I wish I could sew something like this- I'm not sure I have the skills.
P.s. I nominated you for a Sunshine Award! http://thehippiememoirs.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-sunshine-award.html

Thanks Charlotte! It is all upcycled materials that I've had stashed away for years! That blue linen was once a dress I draped for class during my sophomore year!

Thanks Emma! And, you can sew it! It's not too hard, it's a bunch of straight lines, that's all! I read your post this morning! Thanks for the tag...I will be heading off to Arizona and will get onto it once we arrive home!

what a cute bag! its crazy how if you do it professional it takes out the fun but I think the fun does happen again it just takes time and being open to it.

Thanks Erika! I most definitely enjoyed myself making this simple clutch, and if felt really good to be making something with fabric. Maybe next time I will be inspired to make some clothes!

Thanks Liz !!! The fabrics are all recycled materials! The blue linen was once a dress I made in college, the leather was a leather skirt I purchased from the local thrift shop, and the lining was once an apron top I made in my hippie days! Ha!

I just discovered your fold-over clutch pattern and had a 'eureka' moment. I've had my mom's red suede jacket, that doesn't fit me, for decades (It's about 60 years old), but could never bear to part with it. It's going to become a clutch! Thank you , thank you, thank you. I can't wait to get started. Yours looks wonderful.
