Simple Skirt and Urban Threads

October 11, 2011 by Margaret Leave a Comment

Isn't this skirt darling? And how 'bout that owl? I found this cute tutorial when I was looking around on Pinterest. The scallops and owl caught my eye immediately!

A tutorial for the skirt is available at Prudent Baby. Something I didn't know existed until reading her post is glow in the dark embroidery thread. She used it on the owl. I can just see the little girl running in the closet several times a day to see it glow.

The owl pattern is from another site I like to visit, Urban Threads. Many of their designs are not exactly my style, a little too creepy, but they do have some cute ones that I have on my wish list such as these kitchen engravings and this cute tea cup.

Don't have an embroidery machine? No worries all of their designs come in either machine embroidery files or hand embroidery design.
